The eVX Concept’s world premiere by Maruti Suzuki marked the start of the 2023 Auto Expo. With a long wheelbase and shorter overhangs, the all-electric SUV concept follows the “Emotional Versatile Cruiser” design philosophy. The brand’s future electric line-up will be made possible by the eVX which is built on a brand-new platform. Maruti Suzuki eVX Concept Electric SUV: Key Details

A ground-up electric vehicle, the eVX is based on the brand’s all-new platform and is specifically designed to support a range of future electric SUVs. Speaking of technical data, the four-wheeler is 4,300 mm in length, 1,800 mm wide, and 1,600 mm high. Its engine is powered by a 60kWh battery pack with something Suzuki calls ‘safe battery technology’. The driving range is claimed at up to 550 km.

Maruti Suzuki eVX Concept Electric SUV: Design Details

The electric SUV is styled according to the brand’s “Emotional Versatile Cruiser” design philosophy which is consistent with the latest SUVs produced by the automaker. Its upright stance, horizontal hood, commanding high seating, maximized cabin space, long wheelbase, huge wheels, high ground clearance, and distinctive LED light features are some of its design highlights.

“Today, I have an exciting announcement. I am delighted to unveil the Concept eVX, our first global strategic EV. We plan to bring it to market by 2025. At the Suzuki Group, addressing global warming is a priority. We are promoting a range of global measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions generated from our business. One key measure is reducing CO2 emitted by using our products. Here in India, as announced in March last year, we will invest 100 billion rupees in the production of BEVs and their batteries,” said Commenting on the global premiere of Concept Electric SUV eVX, Toshihiro Suzuki, Representative Director and President, Suzuki Motor Corporation.
