MediaTek Dimensity 9000 Plus Chipset Launched: How It Is Different From Dimensity 9000

In order to give tough competition to Qualcomm’s newly launched processor, MediaTek has announced the launch of the new chipset on Wednesday. The MediaTek Dimensity 9000 Plus is expected to provide a five percent boost in CPU performance and a 10 percent improvement in GPU performance as compared to Dimensity 9000 processor. 

The new chipset is expected to give tough competition or compete with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. 

MediaTek Dimensity 9000 Plus Chipset: Specifications And Features 

The newly launched Dimensity 9000 Plus processor has Arm’s v9 CPU architecture with a 4nm octa-core process, three super Cortex-A710 cores operating at a speed of up to 2.85GHz, four efficiency Cortex-A510 cores, and ltra-Cortex-X2 core operating at up to 3.2GHz.

In addition, the chipset comes with one ultra-Cortex-X2 core operating at up to 3.2GHz, three super Cortex-A710, and four efficiency Cortex-A510 cores. 

The chipset also has an Arm Mali G710 MC10 graphics processor. Notably, MediaTek 9000 processor is providing 3.05GHz speed, while Dimensity 9000 Plus processor comes with LPDDR5X storage, 7500Mbps storage, and 6MB of system cache.

Besides, the Dimensity 9000 Plus processor incorporates MediaTek’s fifth-generation Application Processor Unit and the company claims that it can provide 4X power efficiency. 

On the imaging front, the Dimensity 9000 Plus processor features 18-bit HDR-ISP along with camera resolution up to 320MP, records video on three cameras, and 4K HDR video recording feature with AI-noise reduction capabilities.

On the connectivity front, the newly launched chipset supports 7Gbps download speed, dual SIM, dual 4G or 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 6E, New Bluetooth 5.3, and New GNSS with Beidou III-B1C.

It is important to note that the company said that smartphones with the same processor are expected to be launched in the third quarter of 2022.
