Netflix, the leading OTT website in India is all set to bring a new plan at pocket-friendly prices according to new a report by Variety. Notably, the report claims that the OTT platform is likely to launch a new plan in November this year. However, the new plan will be known as the ad plan and will be available in select countries.
This plan is expected to take on Disney+ Hotstar which provides similar plans lined up. Netflix has shared its plan to bring the ad-supported pack at the beginning of the next year.
Disney+ Hotstar Ad-Based Plan: Details
Disney+ Hotstar is also providing access to the free-ad-based plan and is likely to launch the same plan for Rs. 639 in the United States on December 8. However, it is worth noting that the American OTT player will be launching the same plan in a few countries like the US, Germany, the UK, Canada, and France.
For the unaware, Netflix wants to see the consumer reactions; however, there is no information on when the same plan will be launched in India. According to the report, Netflix is likely to run ads for four minutes in all series. There will be pre-ads for the movies.
Netflix Plans In India: Details
Let’s start with Rs. 149 plan, where Netflix offers standard video quality that provides up to 480p streaming on smartphones and tablets. However, the users are allowed to watch content only on one device at one time.
Netflix Rs. 199 Plan In India
The Rs. 199 plan offers 480p streaming on the computer, TV, phone, and tablet. Again, the streaming is only available on one device.
Netflix Rs. 499 Plan In India
The Rs. 499 plan offers 480p on a tablet, computer, television, and phone. Similary, the device is restricted to one device. And, offers 1080p streaming on two devices at one time.
Netflix Rs. 649 Plan In India
This is one of the most premium plans that offer 4K HDR streaming on devices like TV, tablet, computer, and phone. This also provides access to four devices at one time. Notably, this plan is affordable and designed for big families.
