TVS Motors is gearing up for a new electric scooter launch in India soon. The company is currently catering to the Indian audience with the iQube series of e-scooters and has seen a huge spike in its sale in the previous quarter. Which electric scooter can we expect TVS to launch in the country and what is the expected timeline? Let’s find out:
New TVS Electric Scooter Launch Confirmed?
KN Radhakrishnan, TVS India CEO has hinted the arrival of a new electric two-wheeler in the Indian market. The brand had witnessed a spike in sale in the previous quarter where it sold 48,000 units. For reference, this figure was only 29,000 units a quarter before. Radhakrishnan shared this information during an investor’s call.
Additionally, the CEO also revealed the plans to launch a new electric scooter in the Indian market. The timeline is set for next quarter. This means within next three months another new electric scooter from TVS will be launched for the Indian consumers. While TVS is expected to confirm the moniker of the upcoming two-wheeler electric scooter in the coming months, the rumor mill has been suggesting which model we can expect.
Will It Be The TVS iQube ST E-Scooter?
Since nothing concrete has been confirmed by the TVS India CEO, online reports are pointing at the iQube ST’s debut. That’s considering TVS has showcased the iQube ST model almost a year back and hasn’t made it available for purchase officially. This makes us believe that the upcoming variant could be none other than the TVS iQube ST.

The TVS iQube ST will be powerful electric scooter which will be using a BLDC hub mounted motor. The peak power output offered by the iQube ST e-scooter is 4.4 kWh, while the peak torque produced is 140 Nm. The battery capacity powering the TVS iQube ST electric scooter is a 4.5 kWh unit which comes with 1.5 kW fast charging support and 950W standard charger.
This upcoming electric scooter will be delivering around 145 km range on a full charge. With the standard charger, the battery will take 0- 80 percent charge within 4 hours 6 minutes. The top speed offered by the TVS iQube ST will be up to 82 kph.
