Design
Nu Republic has been designing some of the most uniquely designed wireless earbuds and the Cyberstud X4 follows the same lead. The charging case and the earbuds comes with a reactor-based styling clubbed with a glowing Firefly effect. Pressing the button on the charging case opens up the flaps on either sides giving it the firefly-wings looks.
The led strip towards the bottom of the charging case and on the earbuds makes it more futuristic in terms of appeal. Plastic construction is used for both the charging case. The quality is pretty average. Don’t expect a robust and solid construction. But it’t not totally flimsy as well. Nevertheless, we liked the overall lightweight form factor this earbuds has which makes it to carry around without much hassles.
The earbuds comes with a standard in-ear stem-shaped design. I was able to use the earbuds with the default tips and found it comfortable to wear for longer durations. You will be least worried with the earbuds falling down while traveling or performing light outdoor activities.
The earbuds comes with touch-enabled controls. You can activate/ deactivate ANC and transperancy modes, adjust volume levels, play/pause tracks using simple tap gestures. For charging, you can use any standard Type-C charger. The Cyberstud X4 earbuds don’t get any direct IPX certification but are swat and splash resistant.

Sound Performance: Apt For Both Music And Gaming?
The NU Republic Cybrstud X4 earbuds perform quite well for its price point. It’s audio signature is loud overall and will be a treat if you are in for some action. Nu Republic has loaded the Cyberstud X4 with the X-Bass technology which combined with the ENC (Enhanced Noise Cancellation)+ ANC allows the 13nm Neodymium drivers ensure the sound delivery beats what the rivals in the same segment delivers.
These new Cyberstud earbuds features dual mode supporting both music and gaming profiles meeting different user requirements. The bass is hefty which will impress the bass-heads, whereas the 40ms ultra low latency mode makes sure the audio sync is to the point with gaming. So, expect a hooking audio with all the games you play be it FPS or racing.
Audio leakage is least even with the volume levels tuned up to max. And the snug-fit design of the earbuds clubbed with the ENC/ ANC features keeps the outside noises at bay. The thumping bass further elevates the overall music listening experience. Expect the same while watching action packed movies or TV shows. The bass seems to be on the heavier side slightly suppressing the mids and lows. But overall, for a reasonably priced earbuds, the Cyberstud X4 earbuds surely deliver an impressive audio.

Pairing, Calling Experience, Battery Backup
Nu Republic’s Cyberstud Firefly X4 TWS earbuds comes equipped with Bluetooth 5.1 wireless network support. It can be paired with smartphones, tablets, and even smart TVs and laptops/ PCs with just a few taps.
The earbuds name shows up on the list of available Bluetooth devices as soon as you take them out of the case. We found the pairing process a hassle free experience overall. That said, this new Cyberstud series TWS emplys quad mic system combined with ENC+ ANC for a clear calling experience. Both volume levels and audio clarity aspects are well met.
NU Republic has not mentioned what battery size the Cyberstud Firefly X4 integrates. However, it offers a playback time of up to 70 hours on a single charge. The earbuds comes with fast charging support as well and with a plug-in of 15 minutes it gives approx 3 hours of runtime.

Final Verdict
NU Republic surely is designing some of the coolst TWS earbuds and is consistent with this approach. But what’s giving this brand an edge that its not solely focusing on the design but also the audio performance and features. The Cyberstud Firefly X4 pits itself as a solid contender in the budget TWS segment by combining a solid audio output while offering a unique reactor-based flowing firefly design.
