Ola Electric might be going through a difficult phase hitting all time low with market shares and frequent customer complaints on the rise. However, the company isn’t slowing down with its future aspirations and has revealed a new timeline to introduce the Generation 3 platform-based S1 series electric scooters.

Ola Gen-3 S1 Series E-Scooter Launch Timeline
Ola Electric has revealed that it is prepping up for a new electric scooter range launch soon. The company is bringing the latest Generation 3 platform-based electric scooter in January 2025 in India. This timeline, as per Ola, is early than what the brand had previously targeted.
Ola has already revealed the Generation 3 platform recently which will be driving the new-gen S1 series e-scooters. This same Gen-3 platform is further said to be the base for the upcoming S2 and S3 electric scooter lineup. To recap, the company earlier revealed that it will be initially introducing five scooter models with the Gen 3 architecture and seems like the aforementioned models are the ones going official next year.
That said, with the S2 series, Ola is said to be targeting urban commuters and will launch three models in this sub brand including a tourer and a sports model as well. As for the S3 brand, Ola could be targeting the high-end consumer base with this lineup. According to the reports, there will be two maxi scooter models that will debut under this sub-brand.

Ola Generation 3 Platform: What Are The Highlights?
Ola has designed the Gen 3 to deliver more efficient and reliable performance. With the Gen 3 architecture, Ola is replacing the conventional electric coils in the motor with magnetless motors. The battery pack and electronics will also be integrated into the chassis. The Gen 3 will feature new and improved 4860 lithium-ion cells.
