OnePlus just confirmed its plans to upgrade its smartphone lineup with the next-gen flagship models called OnePlus 12. The upcoming phone has been the centre of rumors for a while now and is finally confirmed to mark its debut in the market. In addition to the OnePlus 12’s imminent launch OnePlus has also teased the first look and the key features including display and processor. Here’s what all is revealed:
OnePlus 12 First Look: Any Design Upgrades Over OnePlus 11?
OnePlus showcased its new-gen flagship phone, i.e., the OnePlus 12 at BOE conference. The brand teased the first look of its new premium Android phone at the event which recently was hosted in China. However, the phone was wrapped in a case and the exact design upgrades are difficult to guess. But OnePlus did confirm the use of new OLED panels for the OnePlus 12.
The teased design reveals the presence of a centrally aligned punch hole selfie camera cutout. This is contrary to the current-generation OnePlus 11 model which sports the punch-hole cutout for the selfie snapper on the top-left of the screen.
Another big design change which is expected is the squarish camera module at the rear. Again, the latest-generation OnePlus 11 has a round camera module. The OnePlus 12 will also retain the alert slider as the OnePlus 11. We probably will come across more design details in the coming weeks.

OnePlus 12 Specifications
- The flagship OnePlus 12 will be employing a DisplayMate A+ certified LTPO screen
- Display size of the OnePlus 12 isn’t confirmed yet but it will support a 2K resolution
- Peak brightness levels of the screen will be 2600 nits
- OnePlus has confirmed the top-of-the-line flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor
- RAM and storage details aren’t announced yet but we might see up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage
- Android version could be the latest, i.e., Android 14 OS
- Battery capacity and the fast charging details aren’t confirmed yet
- Besides the upgraded camera module design, camera specifications of the OnePlus 12 remains a mystery at this point
