Oppo K9x With Dimensity 810 5G SoC, 33W Fast Charging Goes Official; When To Expect A Global Launch?

Oppo recently wrapped off its INNO Day 2021 event where it introduced its new technology innovations including the smart Air Glass and Oppo Find N (its first foldable flagship phone). Right ahead of the year-end, the Chinese tech giant has revamped its affordable “K” smartphone lineup with the launch of the Oppo K9x. The latest 5G device joins the existing models in this series namely Oppo K9, Oppo K9 Pro, and the Oppo K9s. The highlights of the new Oppo mid-range phone include a 90Hz FHD+ display and a 64MP triple-rear camera setup. Following is its pricing and availability details:

Oppo K9x Price, Sale Dates

The Oppo K9x is currently limited to the Chinese market and is scheduled to go on sale starting December 27. The company hasn’t announced its global availability. However, it is likely to break covers in India and other markets in Q1 2022.

As for the prices, the company is yet to confirm the same. Only the variants and color option has been revealed as of now. The configurations available would be 6GB RAM+ 128GB storage (base model) and 8GB RAM+ 128GB storage (mid-tier variant). The device will also have a high-end model which will have the same 8GB RAM option but 256GB storage capacity. Color options that you’ll get to choose from are Obsidian Black and Silver Purple.

Oppo K9x Features And Specifications

The Oppo K9x has been launched with a tall 6.5-inch LCD display that supports 1080 2400 pixels FHD+ resolution. The refresh rate is also set higher at 90Hz. The in-display camera cutout (punch-hole) placed on the upper left corner is a storehouse for a 16MP selfie snapper. The back panel features a vertical camera module on the top left with a 64MP main camera.

The setup additionally includes a pair of 2MP sensors for depth mapping and macro photography. Under the hood, the Oppo K9x integrates the Dimensity 810 5G processor to handle all the given tasks at hand. This octa-core MediaTek mid-range 5G chipset is clubbed with Mali G57 GPU and up to 8GB RAM.

The storage capacity offered by this unit is up to 256GB. It also has expandable storage support (via dedicated microSD slot). The Oppo K9x will come pre-loaded with Android 11-based ColorOS 12 UI. The security aspect is taken care of by a physical fingerprint scanner on the side panel. A 5,000 mAh battery with a 33W fast-charging battery rounds off the spec-sheet here.
