Oppo is all set to bring its new premium mid-range smartphone series called the Reno7. Expected to launch later this month, the new lineup is said to tag along the Reno7 SE and the Reno7 Pro alongside the vanilla Reno7. Multiple leaks have surfaced online giving insight into the design as well as the expected features of all three models. Some leaks suggested a curved edge design for the Reno7 Pro. However, the fresh set of leaked live images suggest otherwise.
Oppo Reno7 Pro Live Images Hints Changed Design
Tipster Abhishek Yadav has shared the Reno7 Pro’s leaked live images which have been sourced from the Chinese microblogging website Weibo. The image shows the fascia of the handset flaunting a tiny punch-hole placed on the upper left and slim borders (chin included). However, unlike the previous leaks that suggested a curved edge design, this leaked image shows a flat panel.
This suggests Oppo has opted for a design change compared to the previous-gen model. Just for reference, the Reno6 Pro features a curved edge display and the same was being tipped multiple times for the Reno7 Pro. The placement of the keys is not visible. However, it appears the volume keys are placed on the left, while the power key is on the right spine. Unfortunately, the rear panel’s design has not been shared. Therefore, it would be difficult to guess what all changes we will get to see there.
Oppo Reno7 Pro Leaked Specifications
The Oppo Reno7 Pro has been a constant visitor at the rumor in the last few months. The high-end model in the upcoming Reno7 series is speculated to be powered by the Snapdragon 888 processor. However, some other leaks have also suggested the Snapdragon 778G SoC. The exact processor driving the Reno7 Pro would only be confirmed once the company drops any official teasers.
That said, the Reno7 Pro is likely to arrive with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. It is yet to be confirmed if there will be any additional storage support (via microSD card). The rumors have tipped a 6.5-inch FHD OLED display. The refresh rate is said to be 90Hz instead of 120Hz which we expect from a premium range phone.
The Reno7 Pro camera specifications are likely to include a 50MP Samsung GN5 sensor with OIS support and a 64MP OmniVision ultra-wide-angle sensor. The rear camera setup will have an additional 13MP Samsung S5k3M5 telephoto sensor, while for selfies there will be a 32MP Sony IMX615 sensor upfront. A 65W fast charging supported 4,500 mAH battery is said to complete the package.
