Poco is getting ready to release India’s most affordable 5G smartphone. The announcement came from Poco India Head, Himanshu Tandon, who shared the news on X (formerly Twitter). Building On Previous Success
Poco has already collaborated with Airtel in the past, launching the Airtel-exclusive version of the Poco C51 last year in July. This phone comes with an Airtel Prepaid connection and is equipped with the MediaTek Helio G36 SoC and a large 5,000mAh battery.
What We Know About The Upcoming Phone
Himanshu shared some details about the new device while interacting with users on his post. When asked about the benefits of the upcoming smartphone, he mentioned that it will be the most affordable 5G device available in the market. He clarified that this phone will not simply be an Airtel version of an existing device. Instead, it will be the Airtel edition of Poco M6 5G.
About Poco M6
The Poco M6 was launched in India on December 22, 2023. It comes in three storage variants: 4GB RAM + 128GB storage, 6GB RAM + 128GB storage, and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage, priced at Rs. 9,499, Rs. 10,499, and Rs. 12,499 respectively.

The Poco M6 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ processor and can have up to 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It features a huge 6.74-inch display along with a 90Hz refresh rate.

For photography enthusiasts, the Poco M6 5G boasts a 50MP AI dual-camera setup and a 5MP AI selfie camera. It also packs a robust 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.
