Smartphone OEMs have started introducing their Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor-powered handsets across the globe. First the Moto Edge X30 then the Xiaomi 12 series, both new offerings made it to the shelves right before this year-end (2021). Now, all eyes are on the upcoming Realme GT 2 series. The company has been creating hype for the upcoming lineup and has teased the first of technology innovations used for an Android smartphone.

The upcoming series is majorly grabbing headlines for the GT 2 Pro model which recently was leaked in Master Edition as well. Now, another special edition Realme GT 2 Pro variant has been teased by the brand itself which will be a treat for anime fans.

Realme GT 2 Pro Dragon Ball Z Edition Officially Teased

The Realme GT 2 Pro Dragon Ball Z edition has been officially teased by Oppo’s former subsidiary via the Chinese microblogging website Weibo. Unfortunately, the company has only shared a short-length teaser video that only hints at the “realme X Dragon Ball Z” partnership and nothing else. No image of this limited edition model (both front and the back panel) has been revealed by the teaser.

Therefore, the primary design highlights remain a mystery for now. But since this upcoming model will is a Dragon Ball Z Edition we can expect the skin to be based on the same theme. The specifications and other features would probably same as the standard GT 2 Pro or the GT 2 Pro Master Edition.

Notably, the key features of the latter are also yet to surface. This makes it slightly difficult to guess if Realme is planning to stick to the design changes with the GT 2 Pro Master Edition and the GT 2 Pro Dragon Ball Z Edition or will also make hardware changes in each model. Until the brand itself sheds some more insight on the same we can’t be sure of the specifics.

Nevertheless, the regular GT 2 Pro is confirmed to arrive with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. The special edition models (GT 2 Pro Dragon Ball Z Edition and the GT 2 Pro Master Edition) might also be powered by the same SoC. The display tipped is a 6.7-inch QHD+ AMOLED with 120Hz refresh rate, while the optics is said to comprise a 50MP triple-camera setup at the back.
