Realme recently confirmed its next premium GT series smartphone for the audience. The company is now working on the GT 2 Pro which is said to be amongst the first lot of devices backed by the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. The first look of the handset has already surfaced online hinting at a Nexus 6P-like design. Now, its official launch date has also been revealed.
When Is Realme GT 2 Pro Launching?
An official teaser shared by Realme on the Chinese microblogging website Weibo confirms the GT 2 Pro’s arrival date. The teaser poster mentions an announcement lined up for December 9, 2021. This means the company is likely unveiling the device tomorrow. We can expect the handset to go official initially in China before making a global debut.
The company hasn’t yet confirmed if it is indeed bringing the Realme GT 2 Pro tomorrow itself or will be just announcing the launch timeline for different markets. However, considering Realme India Chief, Madhav Sheth had also suggested the GT 2 Pro’s launch sometime in December, this latest announcement could be in line with the same. Realme GT 2 Pro Rumored Specifications And Features
As of now, only the Realme GT 2 Pro’s processor details are known. It will feature Qualcomm’s new-generation flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. A handful of upcoming premium handsets such as the Moto Edge X30 and the Xiaomi 12 series are rumored to be equipped with this processor.
The Realme GT 2 Pro might come with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. The rumors have also hinted at a humongous 6.9-inch OLED display that will support WQHD+ screen resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It will come with a punch-hole camera cutout which might feature a 32MP selfie snapper.
The Realme GT 2 Pro is also leaked with a triple rear camera setup. The main camera is rumored to be a 50MP lens which might be coupled with another 50MP sensor, and an 8MP sensor. Realme is also tipped to bring its fasted 125W charging with the GT 2 Pro. The battery capacity tipped is 5,000 mAh.
