Realme introduced the new-generation Pad 2 tablet in India recently. At an asking price of Rs. 19,999, the Realme Pad 2 arrived as a mid-range tablet powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 processor and other premium-grade features such as a 120Hz display, and a fast-charging supported battery. Another new tablet is being introduced in the mid-range segment called the Honor Pad X9 which also packs some powerful hardware features such as the Snapdragon 680 chipset and a 2K display. The Honor Pad X9 tablet is packed with an 11.5-inch display. The panel type is TFT LCD which supports a resolution of 1200 x 2000 pixels and a pixel density of 203 PPI. The Realme Pad 2 is equipped with an IPS LCD with an identical 11.5-inch screen size and 1200 x 2000 pixels screen resolution. Both tablet’s screen supports 120Hz refresh rate which allows smooth visual feedback with video playback as well as scrolling.

For optics, the Realme Pad 2 employs a single 8MP lens at the back and another 8MP upfront for selfies and video calls. The latest mid-range Realme tablet has support for 1080p@30fps video support. The Honor Pad X9 has slightly trimmed camera hardware and features a 5MP sensor at the rear and a 5MP sensor upfront. The imaging capabilities are slightly better with the Realme Pad 2 when compared to the Honor Pad X9.

Under the Realme Pad 2’s hood, there is the MediaTek Helio G99 chipset combined with Mali-G57 GPU handling the performance aspects. Whereas, the Honor Pad X9 features the Snapdragon 685 processor paired with Adreno 610 GPU. The former has up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage support, while the latter comes with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage space. Both tablets feature Android 13 OS topped with a custom user interface.
