After launching the 4G smartphone in India, Reliance Jio is expected to launch a 5G device in the country. However, a new report by Counterpoint Research claims that the upcoming 5G smartphone of Reliance Jio is priced between Rs. 8,000 to Rs. 12,000. Besides, the 5G smartphone is likely to be available in different display sizes and features.
This clearly shows that the 5G-enabled JioPhone will increase migration to 5G devices. For the unaware, Reliance Jio joined hands with Google in 2021. Under this partnership, both companies have launched a 4G smartphone for Rs. 4,499 that enables 2G and 3G users to 4G services, which is why there are high chances that the upcoming 5G smartphone will be aggressive.
JioPhone 5G Smartphone: Expected Specifications
It is important to note that the JioPhone 5G might have 5.45- an inch LCD along with a maximum refresh rate of 60Hz. In addition, the report claims that LCD will have illuminated by a backlight, which might be low-cost, and that makes it a good option for those who are looking for affordable 5G devices.
In addition, the device will have Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection that can prevent the device from drops and scratches. On the storage front, the device will have 32GB of storage that can be expandable up to 2GB or 4GB of RAM. In addition, the device will have Qualcomm’s QM215 chipset, which is toned -a down variant of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 425.
On the optics front, the device will have a single camera setup at the back, 13MP primary camera along with an LED flash. Besides, the device will have an 8MP camera on the front. On the battery front, the device will have a 3400mAh battery along with quick charging capabilities.
