After launching JioPhone Next in India, Reliance Jio is likely to launch a tablet and smart television in the country. India’s largest telecom operator Reliance Jio is expanding its product portfolio with pocket-friendly prices. This also means that the company might give tough competition to Redmi, Realme, Nokia, and Motorola, which are already selling both at affordable prices.
According to 91Mobiles, Reliance Jio is likely to launch televisions and tablet next year; however, there is no specific timeline has been shared by the report. On the other hand, industry sources informed Giznext that the company has no plans to bring television, laptop, and tablet.
But still, we know that the company makes huge announcements on its AGM, so there might be some announcements at its AGM. It should be noted that the image of the upcoming television is not official yet; however, it might be known as Jio TV and will have all OTT apps. Besides, it is not clear that it will be based on Google TV and Android TV.
Reliance Jio Partnership With PragatiOS
It is worth noting that Reliance Jio has also joined hands with PragatiOS to launch JioPhone Next. In addition, there are chances that television might come up with a bundle Jio Fiber connection. Similarly, there are chances that the Jio tablet will have the same OS. In addition, there are chances that the Jio tablet will have an entry-level processor. However, other features of the upcoming products are not known.
Reliance Jio New Plans
On the other hand, Reliance Jio has raised tariffs of its prepaid plans. This comes soon after Airtel and Vodafone-Idea increased the prices of their packs. India’s largest telecom operator raised tariffs by 20 percent, which is still less than other telecom operators.
“These plans will provide the best value in the industry. Upholding the Jio promise of providing the best quality service at the go live price globally, Jio customers will continue to be the biggest beneficiaries. The new unlimited plans will go-live on 1st December 2021 and can be opted from all existing touchpoints and channels,” Reliance Jio said in a statement.
