Using the QR code feature is simple:

Step 1: Open the Quick Share option from the share menu on your Android phone.

Step 2: In the ‘Send to nearby devices’ section, tap on ‘Use QR code.’

Step 3: A full screen interface will appear, generating a unique QR code with the Quick Share logo.

Step 4: Once the QR code is displayed, the screen brightens automatically for easier scanning.

Quick Share QR Codes Features

  • The recipient only needs to open their phone’s camera app and point it at their QR code.
  • No contacts, device pairing, or extra settings are required.
  • The same QR code can be scanned by multiple people. This makes group sharing easy and efficient.

This makes it perfect for sharing event photos, group documents, or any file you need to send to several people quickly.

Addressing Previous Challenges

For many Android users, Quick Share’s device detection feature has been unreliable at times. With QR codes, this problem is solved. You no longer need to wait for devices to appear on a nearby list, a simple scan initiates the transfer instantly.
