Sony India announced its latest range of A Series Home Theatre Systems: HT-A5000 and HT-A3000 soundbars. With Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, it offers a cutting-edge and ground-breaking multidimensional sound experience. The soundbar works well with Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa-enabled devices.
Sophisticated Design
The HT-A5000 boasts an Omnidirectional Block design with a premium minimalist aesthetic. Besides, the HT-A3000 and add-on speakers are designed using the omnidirectional block design principle. The soundbars’ setup is made simple with the HDMI eARC, Optical-in, and USB ports.
Unique 360 Spatial Sound Mapping
Experience sound originating from every angle and distance with 360 Spatial Sound Mapping. The Sound Field Optimization feature on both soundbars measures the distance between the soundbar and the rear speakers by using built-in microphones. It then synthesizes sound waves to produce several phantom speakers based on the positional information.

S-Force PRO Front Surround is another feature of the HT-A5000 that creates a broader horizontal sound field. If you pair the HT-A5000 and HT-A3000 with Sony’s wireless rear speakers SA-RS5 and SA-RS3S, you’ll have access to the company’s ground-breaking 360 Spatial Sound Mapping technology.
Sound Output
The HT-A5000 5.1.2 channel soundbar comes with a built-in dual subwoofer for deep bass and two up-firing speakers that reflect sound off the ceiling for immersive overhead audio. Three front speakers including a dedicated centre speaker for crisp conversation and an integrated dual subwoofer for powerful bass are all included in the HT-A3000. It features 3.1 channels.
Additionally, it has two side beam tweeters that enhance surround sound by reflecting sound off the side walls. Sony’s distinctive X-Balanced Speaker Unit is found in the up-firing speakers, built-in dual subwoofer, and front speakers.
Cinematic Surround Sound
Sony’s Vertical Surround Sound Engine is included with the HT-A5000 and HT-A3000. They support audio formats like DTS:X and Dolby Atmos. Sony’s distinctive signal processing and the front speakers and up-firing speakers are used to reproduce “vertical” audio.
Pairing
It improves the immersive audio-visual experience with Sony’s great picture and sound quality when paired with compatible Bravia TVs. The soundbar and the TV become one with the Bravia Acoustic Center sync. Additionally, the 360 Spatial Sound Mapping configuration functions with Bravia Acoustic Center Sync.
Connectivity
The HT-A5000 supports Spotify ConnectTM, Apple Airplay 2, built-in Chromecast, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi. A simple tap on your phone will allow you to stream your favorite songs. It comes with USB, optical in, HDMI out (eARC), and S-CENTER OUT for compatible Bravia TVs.
Optional Rear Speakers
Both the HT-A5000 and HT-A3000 allow you to select the kind of wireless subwoofer you want to use with them. Add the SA-SW5 wireless subwoofer for deeper bass with 300W of power from a 180mm driver and passive radiator.
Or, choose the SA-SW3 wireless subwoofer, which has a 160mm driver and a tiny bass reflex subwoofer that produces 200W of sound. Add the SA-RS3S wireless rear speakers with 100W of wider surround sound and wall mounting capability as well as the SA-RS5 wireless rear speakers with a built-in battery and 180W power output for even more cinematic thrills.
Voice Activation
It supports Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant and has a built-in Chromecast. To start playing music, adjust the volume, or perform many other actions with just your voice, simply add the soundbar to the speaker group using the Google Home app.
Price And Availability
The new HT-A5000 and HT-A3000 home theatre systems will be sold in India through major electronics retailers including Sony Centers, www.shopatsc.com, and Amazon.in, starting on December 14, 2022.
