Sony has been revamping its audio products lineup right from the beginning of 2021 in India. The Japanese tech giant has already launched two TWS earbuds; one for the budget audience and the second for the premium users (Sony WF-C500 and WF-1000XM3 respectively). Now, the company has taken a leap in the audio segment with the launch of wireless speakers that come with a neckband design. The latest models from the company’s lot are the SRS-NB10 and the SRS-NS7. Both Sony wireless neckband speakers are packed with some new technologies and durable design language.

The Sony SRS-NB10 is a wireless speaker with a neckband design. This makes it amongst the first premium wireless speakers with such a unique design format. This is a full-range speaker unit with an upward-angled design format that allows it to throw audio directly to a user’s ears. The SRS-NB10 embeds passive radiators at the back of the neckbands allowing for a boosted bass and a balanced audio output.
The Sony SRS-NB10 is primarily designed for working professionals for easy online conferencing. It is suitable for attending conference calls while on the go. Sony has equipped this wireless neckband speaker with Precise Voice Pickup technology, dual high-quality directional microphones along advanced audio signal processing to allow this audio device to minimize echo during an ongoing call.
The neckband speaker also has a bunch of physical keys for volume and media control. The SRS-NB10 comes with IPX4 certification that makes it splash-proof. The company claims a backup of up to 20 hours with a single charge. It comes with quick charge support where a 10 minutes plug-in is said to deliver an hour of backup.
On the other hand, the Sony SRS-NS7 also brings a wireless neckband design but is the world’s first such device that supports Dolby Atmos audio. This model can be paired up with Sony’ s 360 Spatial Sound Personalizer smartphone app for a 360-degree Spatial Sound experience. The battery backup offered by the SRS-NS7 is up to 12 hours with a single charge.

Starting with the Sony SRS-NB10, you can buy this wireless neckband speaker in India at Rs. 11,990. Whereas, the SRS-NS7 is targeted at premium users with a higher price tag of Rs. 22,990. There is an additional wireless transmitter accessory that you can buy with these new audio devices. Called Sony WLA-NS7, the wireless transmitter can be purchased at Rs. 5,690 in India.
