Sony has unveiled the WF-1000XM5 earphones, in global markets after teasing the product for a while. This new release comes over two years after its predecessor, the Sony WF-1000XM4. The new earbuds are designed to deliver better sound quality and call performance.

Sony WF-1000XM5: Full Features
The Sony WF-1000XM5 earbuds are equipped with a new Dynamic Driver X unit that has a dome-edge separation structure which enables exceptional low-frequency sound waves. Additionally, these earbuds offer the “best” noise cancellation (as advertised) with the combination of the new driver, dual feedback six microphones, noise isolation tips, and two processors (Q2Ne and V2).
The WF-1000XM5 guarantees a high-resolution audio experience with LDAC support and DSEE Extreme technology for upscaling. Moreover, they come with head-tracking support to enhance the spatial audio experience.

In terms of design, the WF-1000XM5 earbuds are 25% smaller and 20% lighter compared to their predecessor, the Sony WF-1000XM4. The earbuds also introduce the new Auto Play app (currently in Beta), which delivers music and audio notifications when needed. Additionally, they boast advanced features such as Spatial Sound, Adaptive Sound Control, IPX4 rating for sweat and water resistance, Speak-to-Chat, Multipoint Connect, and integration with Google Assistant and Alexa.
The Sony WF-1000XM5 earbuds offer 8 hours of playback on one charge and can last up to 24 hours with the charging case. A 3-minute charge gives you 60 minutes of playback. They also support wireless charging, making them very convenient for everyday use.
Sony WF-1000XM5: Price, Availability In India
The Sony WF-1000XM5 is already available for pre-order in selected markets, including the US, with a price tag of US $299 (Rs.25,000 approx). It comes in two color options: Black and Silver. However, there is no official information on its availability and launch date in India yet.
