New Ultraviolette Electric Motorycle In Works: When Will It Launch?
Ultraviolette is set to launch its next e-motorcycle in India next year. However, instead of expanding its high-speed sports motorcycle portfolio, the brand will introduce an electric adventure motorcycle. Ultraviolette CEO’s Narayan Subramaniam has revealed this information in an interview. Revealing additional insights, the company’s CEO confirmed the plans to target not just one but multiple segment.
Besides the sports and the upcoming Adventure e-motorcycle, Ultraviolette is also expected to introduce a cruiser, a roadster, and a supersports e-motocycle model in the coming years. That said, the company will first bring the adventure variant followed by the remaining.
- It is likely to be a new segment of motorcycle
- Could use the learnings from the existing F77 Mach 2
- This will be the second new offering from the brand
Ultraviolette aims to enter a new segment of motorcycles in 2025. Now, the type/genre of motorcycle is yet to be revealed but the brand will use its learnings from the current F77 Mach 2 electric motorcycle. Moreover, this does not come as a surprise since Ultraviolette already showcased the Concept X adventure bike at the EICMA this year. It was not only based on the Mach 2 in terms of design, but also appeared to be equipped with similar hardware, battery, and motor. The Concept X isn’t a hardcore ADV since it rides on 17-inch wheels, has a conventional suspension setup and an overall road-biased profile.
Further, Ultraviolette currently only has one offering but in the next three years, it plans to have four different segment motorcycles in its portfolio – ADV, cruiser, roadster, and supersports. Although the Concept X was more of a display from the brand to the audience including the potential European dealers, it would make sense for Ultraviolette to bring it to production next since ADV bikes offer a great deal in terms of overall versatility, and the use-case. With just a single product on sale right now, the brand must pivot to other segments as well for the customer to not perceive it as a one-dimensional brand in terms of motorcycle offerings.
