On the opening day of the Auto Expo 2023, Tata Motors showcased its electric prowess with the launch of new age electric SUVs. The Tata Harrier EV concept’s introduction at Auto Expo 2023 has been a major major highlight. The Harrier EV, which was displayed in a nearly finished form, is expected to hit the Indian market either by 2024 or 2025. Tata has not yet provided any details, but we can anticipate that the SUV will have a battery probably between 60 and 70 kWh.

Tata Harrier EV Concept: Exterior And Features
The Tata Harrier EV shares a lot of similarities with its ICE predecessor in terms of appearance, but it also stands out enough as an EV. It flaunts almost identical split headlamp design up fron as the standard model. However, it features a new LED light bar that extends the entire width of the electric SUV.
Additionally, the front bumper’s design has been altered with re-designed sharp creases and a deep-set along with black housing for the primary headlamp cluster. There is also a new blanked-off grille. Additionally, the central air intake has been modified with an EV-specific blanked-off panel and other changes.
The Tata Harier EV’s shape hasn’t changed much, but it now has wider wheels (concept-style), flat door handles, and new ‘EV’ badges on the fenders. Additionally, the body cladding on the rear bumper has been now has smoother finish and new angular indents.
The interior of the Harrier EV hasn’t been seen well, but it is expected to include a large touchscreen and a few additional features. Tata did confirm if the Harrier EV SUV will have cloud-linked telematics, over-the-air updates, and connected car technologies integrated.

Tata Harrier EV Concept: Specifications
The Harrier EV concept combines Tata’s Gen 2 EV architecture with the Land Rover-derived Omega architecture utilized by the ICE-powered Harrier. The Harrier EV electric SUV has been extensively re-engineered for electrification despite being built on an ICE platform. The gasoline tank area will undergo changes, the interior will have a level floor, and it will be lighter and more energy-efficient.
Tata did not specify the electric motor or battery specifications, but the company did say that it will have a dual-motor all-wheel drive setup. The Harrier EV’s battery is anticipated to have a capacity of about 60 kWh and return a real-world range of between 400 and 500 kilometres.
