Tata Motors took the stage at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024 to showcase its latest offerings, the Harrier EV Concept and Nexon EV. While awaiting official details, it is anticipated that the production-ready Tata Harrier EV will hit the Indian market later this year. The Harrier EV Concept initially revealed at the Auto Expo 2023 alongside other concepts, including Curvv ICE, Avinya, and Sierra EV, is poised to make a significant impact.
Tata Motors didn’t stop there, also introducing two new variants of the Nexon — the CNG variant and the Dark Edition of the EV. As the current best-selling car for Tata Motors, the Nexon has now broadened its range with these additions, solidifying its position in the market. Distinctive Exterior
The Tata Harrier EV maintains a striking resemblance to its Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) counterpart in terms of design. However, it incorporates specific features to highlight its electric nature. The front showcases a sealed-off grille, a split headlight setup with new Daytime Running Lights (DRLs), and a revamped bumper.
Unique Profile
In profile, the Harrier EV boasts distinctive alloy wheels, flush door handles, and fender badging with ‘.EV.’ At the rear, a redesigned bumper connected LED tail lamps, and a novel LED light bar contribute to the EV’s distinct appearance.
Technical Details
While specific technical details are yet to be disclosed, it is known that the Harrier EV will feature a dual-motor all-wheel drive setup. The SUV is expected to be equipped with a 60kWh battery pack, providing a range of 400 to 500 kilometers. Furthermore, the Harrier EV will incorporate advanced features like Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) technologies for added convenience.

The Nexon EV Dark Edition takes the spotlight as the new version of the best-selling electric vehicle in India. With 16-inch black alloys, a Charcoal Black exterior, and additional piano black accents on the bumper, the Dark Edition stands out. The LED light bar, featuring a welcome and goodbye sequence, remains a notable feature. The distinctive R16 Black alloy wheels complete the exterior package, ensuring a striking and distinctive appearance on the road.
Interior Sophistication
Inside, the Nexon EV Dark Edition welcomes passengers with all-black leatherette seats adorned with the Dark logo. This variant will be available with the Long Range battery pack version, featuring a 40.5 kWh battery pack.

The Tata Nexon EV boasts an array of exclusive features, including the Arcade.ev app suite, Bi-directional charging (V2V and V2L), a 12.3-inch cinematic touchscreen by Harman, JBL Cinematic sound system, and a host of advanced technologies.
