Tata Motors is well known for its safest car fleet in India. The company has touched new milestones with its reliable four wheelers and has been successfully bagging high star ratings with safety crash tests. Once again, two of the popular Tata cars (EVs this time) were tested at the Bharat NCAP. The Tata Nexon.ev and the Punch.ev were made to go through a series of crash tests. How well both models performed? Read on below for the details:

Tata Punch.ev Bharat NCAP Crash Tests And Star Ratings

The Tata Nexon.ev and the Punch.ev made a visit to the Bharat NCAP station for crash tests. Both EV models from Tata bagged the highest 5 Star safety ratings. These crash test were for both adult and children which suggests a reliable safety standard offered by the Tata’s electric fleet.

Moving on to the scores, the Tata Punch.ev in the crash test carrying adult passengers achieved 31.46 points out of 32 points. On the other hand, highest safety point is 49 for the child occupants where the Punch.ev managed to log a total of 45 points.

In the front offset deformable barrier and side movable deformable barrier test, it scored15.71 and 15.74 points respectively out of 16 points. Additionally, the Punch.ev has achieved a dynamic, CRS, and assessment score of 24 points, 12 points, and 9 points respectively.

Tata Nexon.ev Bharat NCAP Crash Tests And Star Ratings

The Nexon ICE model already has been topping the charts at offering the top-class safety standards. The Nexon.ev model has also proved its mettle at the Bharat NCAP crash tests where it achieved a total of 29.86 and 44.95 points out of 32 and 49 points for adult and child occupants respectively.

Likewise, the Nexon.ev has bagged 14.26 points on the frontal offset deformable barrier test and 15.60 points in the side movable deformable barrier tests respectively. The highest points for both these tests is 16. With the child safety test overall, the Nexon.ev scored 23.95 Dynamic points out of 24 points. Lastly, this Tata EV has received a whopping 12 out of 12 points in the CRS installtion score followed by 9 points in the vehicle assessment score out of 13.
