Tecno took the mobile industry by storm with the launch of its first-ever full-fledged foldable Android handset dubbed the Phantom V Fold. The latest flagship foldable handset from Tecno is pitted against popular counterparts such as the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Vivo X Fold 2 both of which have also debuted recently in the global markets. Tecno launched the Phantom V Fold 5G earlier this month but is yet to made available to Indian consumers. The brand already started taking pre-registrations of the handset but now has extended the timeline for the pre-bookings.
Tecno Phantom V Fold 5G India Pre-Booking Extended Timeline
The Tecno Phantom V Fold will now be made available for pre-bookings till April 27, 2023 via Amazon. The Chinese OEM itself has confirmed that the foldable phone’s pre-registration will be live till the aforementioned date starting at 10 AM.
Just to recap, Tecno earlier began taking the pre-orders for the Phantom V Fold on April 22. However, the device shortly went sold out due to the high demand. This is one of the primary reasons why Tecno has extended the pre-bookings date so that maximum buyers get the unit. Also, Tecno is reportedly increasing the Phantom V Fold’s production at its Noida facility and has assured more units in sock going forward. That’s not it, Tecno will also be giving 10 lucky winners a chance to get free Tecno TWS earbuds with the Phantom V Fold purchase.

Tecno Phantom V Fold 5G Price In India, Sale Details
Post the April 27 final pre-booking dates, the Tecno Phantom V Fold 5G’s first sale will begin on April 28 in India. The flagship foldable handset from Tecno will be sold via Amazon starting at Rs. 88,888. This premium Tecno foldable phone will be sold in dual color options including black and blue.

The Tecno Phantom V Fold’s outer screen is an LTPO AMOLED panel that measures 6.42 inches with FHD+ 120Hz refresh rate. When unfolded, the Tecno Phantom V Fold’s screen measures 7.65 inches. The inner screen on the Phantom V fold comes with a 2K resolution of 2296 x 2000 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate.
For optics, Tecno has added a 32MP camera on the outer panel and a smaller 16MP sensor on the inner screen. The Phantom V Fold’s triple rear camera module on the back comprises a 50MP main lens with an f/1.8 aperture, a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens with an f/1.8 aperture, and a 50MP portrait lens with 2x camera.
At its core, the Tecno Phantom V Fold 5G employs the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ SoC which is combined with 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage. The phone ships with Android 13 OS and has a custom HiOS 13 UI pre-installed.
