Tecno is all set to bring its first 5G smartphone to India. The Tecno Pova 5G is already available in Nigeria and soon it will be launched in the country. In fact, the company has started teasing the same via its official Twitter account.
The tweet reads: “Get set to join us on a journey to experience the 5th Dimension? Stay Tuned. #POVA5G #UnlockThe5thDimension #TECNO #TECNOMobiles #ComingSoon.” It is worth noting that the company has not made any official announcement about the launch date, but Giznext has received exclusive information from industry sources that the device will be launched in the second week of February
Besides, the sources informed that the Tecno Pova 5G smartphone will be priced between Rs. 18,000 to Rs. 20,000. The device is likely to be available on Amazon as the company usually launched products on the same platform.

Tecno Pova 5G Smartphone: Specifications
For the unaware, the Tecno Pova 5G has been launched with a MediaTek Dimensity 900 processor that is paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. The device also has a 6.95-inch HD+ display, 120Hz refresh rate, 82.8 percent screen-to-body ratio, and 389ppi pixel density.
The device is said to come with a triple camera at the back along with a quad-LED flash. The 50MP primary camera, 13MP secondary sensor, and a 2MP shooter. Upfront, the device will have a 16MP camera and a dual-LED flash. Besides, the Tecno handset carries a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
On the connectivity front, the device will include a USB Type-C port, DTS speakers, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS/ A-GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, FM radio, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The device will include sensors like proximity and an accelerometer. Moreover, the Tecno Pova 5G device comes with a 6,000mAh battery along with an 18W fast charging support.
Tecno Plans For Indian Market In 2022
Apart from launching a 5G smartphone, Tecno is likely to launch more than 20 smartphones in India between Rs. 6,000 to Rs. 30,000 in all series such as Pop, Spark, Camon, and more. Additionally, the company is planning to launch a smartwatch and speakers this year under Rs. 5,000.
