Apple Podcast Transcripts: How does it work?
With Apple podcast transcripts, the audience can read the full text of an episode. The users can also search the episode for a specific word or phrase, and tap the text to play from that point in the episode. As an episode plays, each word is highlighted, making it easy to follow along. Transcripts are accessible from the episode details page. Touch and hold a podcast episode to reveal an option to view a transcript. For that, see the below steps to know how it works:
Step 1: Open the Apple Podcasts app on your device.
Step 2: Play an episode of your choice.
Step 3: Access the transcript feature, which automatically scrolls and highlights the spoken text.
When your episode includes chapters, the Apple podcast transcripts will use the chapter titles as section headers to navigate within the episode easily. Speaker names are there in transcripts for better accessibility. Also, providing a VTT file allows the identification of every speaker with each line.
Once a new episode is published, Apple generates transcripts automatically. Afterwards, you can listen to it right away, and the transcript will be available. If the episode has dynamically inserted audio, Apple Podcasts will not display the audio sections that have changed since the original transcription. Moreover, music lyrics are not included in the transcripts.

Apple Podcast Transcripts: Availability
Apple now offers transcripts for podcast episodes in English, French, German, and Spanish. Back catalogue episodes will be added gradually. Transcripts are searchable and accessible in over 170 countries. Also, Private RSS feeds are not in Apple Podcasts Connect, so transcripts are only available for episodes in the catalogue.
