Motorola is gearing up to launch the Moto G85 in global markets soon. High-resolution renders of the phone have leaked, revealing its design and color options. Additionally, some specifications were recently spotted on Geekbench, and a tipster has provided more details. Here’s a closer look at what we know so far about the Moto G85. Leaked Design and Color Options
The leaked renders, shared by Evan Blass on X, suggest that the Moto G85 will come in Brass and Dark Grey colors, with a Blue option also expected. The front of the device features a punch-hole cutout for the camera and slim bezels on all sides. Both the front and back appear to have a slight curve, giving the phone a sleek and slender profile.
The rear camera bump has a smooth elevation from the rest of the surface, unlike the Moto G84‘s separately set camera mesa. This new design looks more refined, resembling the Motorola Edge 50 Pro. The renders indicate that the phone will have two rear cameras and the distinctive ‘M’ insignia of Motorola.
At the bottom of the phone, there is a speaker grille, a SIM tray, a USB-C port, and a mic hole. Another mic hole is positioned at the top. However, one significant omission is the 3.5mm headphone jack, which was present in the Moto G84. This could be a disappointment for some Moto fans who prefer wired audio options.

Expected Specifications
- According to tipster MysteryLupin on X, the Moto G85 might feature a 6.67-inch pOLED screen with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, an upgrade from the G84’s 6.5-inch display.
- The rear camera setup is expected to include a 50MP main camera with an f/1.79 aperture and a 9MP ultrawide sensor that also functions as a macro camera. The front camera could be a 32MP sensor.
- The Moto G85 is likely to be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 SoC, clocked at 2.3GHz, with an Adreno 619 GPU, which is faster than the Snapdragon 695 5G found in its predecessor.
- The phone is expected to run on a nearly stock version of Android 14, providing a clean and smooth user experience.
- It might come with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, which should be ample for most users.
- A 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support is anticipated, promising long battery life and quick recharges.
- Despite its larger display and battery, the Moto G85 could weigh only 173 grams. While slightly heavier than the Moto G84, which weighed 166 grams, it still maintains a light and compact feel.
Overall, the Moto G85 appears to offer several improvements over its predecessor, though the absence of a headphone jack may be a drawback for some users.
