Ather Energy took the electric scooter segment with storm in India with the launch of Ather 450 in India last year. The EV manufacturer has now updated its portfolio with the updated Ather 450X 2033 version in the country. The latest iteration of the popular electric scooter brings along new color options, design tweaks, and also extended warranty scheme. Let’s dive into the details below:

The Ather 450X 2023 also called the Ather 450X Gen 3 has been introduced at the company’s community Day 2023 with slight alterations such as a new-designed seat for enhanced comfort and small storage space. Ather has redesigned the entire seat design for the 450X Gen 3 electric scooter and has used 14 percent thicker foams for added comfort.
Interestingly, Ather has designed the seat backwards compatible allowing older Ather 450X variant owners to replace and use the 450X Gen 3’s seat. In addition to the redesigned seat, the Ather 450X Gen 3 electric scooter also gets an improved firmware version dubbed Atherstack 5.0.
The latest automobile firmware for the Ather 450X 2023 brings along a new UI and Hill Hold feature. This new feature will allow the riders to easily commute through steep inclines on hills. The software also adds advanced map support which will improve the navigation experience with this electric scooter.
Ather has closely worked with Google to develop the new map for 450X Gen 3 electric scooter and has the option to view live traffic along with Vector Maps with layers.

Ather 450X Gen 3: What’s Old?
The remaining aspects of the Ather 450X 2023 or the Gen 3 model remains as the previous Ather 450X. The 450X Gen 3 gets a 6.2kW motor churning out a top speed of up to 80 kmph. The electric scooter uses a 3.7kWh battery capacity that delivers an IDR range of 105km per charge. The battery charging time is 5.4 hours approx.

Ather 450X Gen 3: Price In India, Color Options, Warranty
The Ather 450X Gen 3 2023 model has been launched at Rs. 1.42 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. The new color option announced are Cosmic Black, Lunar Grey, Salt Green, and Ravishing Red. Additionally, an extended warranty has been announced by Ather using which one can get an additional warranty of up to two years on the electric scooter and three years on the battery set.
