Reached your UPI transaction daily limit? However, the amount of your transaction was less than the predetermined transfer limit. UPI, which was launched by the National Payments Corporation of India a few years ago, has significantly improved our quality of life. It has made bank-to-bank money transfers simple and secure, enabling everything from purchasing veggies from roadside vendors to sending money to friends and relatives. However, the government has restricted the number of transactions per day due to accessibility. Here is all you need to know.
UPI Money Transfer Limit
A person can use their UPI app to send up to Rs. 1 lakh in a single day, under the NPCI’s rules. For smaller banks like Canara Bank, this limit may top out at Rs. 25,000 while reaching the last limit of a lakh for bigger banks like SBI.

UPI Transfer Limit Per Day
There is a cap on the total amount you can transfer in a day, as well as a cap on the number of transactions you can complete each day. You are often only permitted to complete 20 transactions each day. Once you’ve reached the limit, the limit won’t be renewed for another 24 hours.
GPay UPI Transfer Limit
If you use Google Pay or GPay, you can send up to Rs. 1,000,000 in a single day with a maximum of 10 transactions. These transactions can be made on all UPI apps and bank accounts.
PhonePe UPI Transfer Limit
PhonePe also offers the same limit as GPay. That means you can send money up to Rs. 1,00,000 per day for 10 transactions. However, these limits are set at 20 and depend on your bank’s policy.
Paytm UPI Transfer Limit
Paytm UPI allows users a money transfer of up to Rs. 1 Lakh.
Amazon Pay UPI Transfer Limit
Amazon Pay has also set a limit of Rs 1,00,000 for transfers through UPI. Specifically, a user can only pay a maximum of Rs. 5,000 in the first 24 hours after registering for Amazon Pay UPI. Some banks limit the number of transactions per day to 20.
