Vivo Discretely Adds Y21A To Indian Shelves; Price, Key Features

Vivo isn’t stopping with the “Y” series smartphone launches in India just yet. While the rumor mill is suggesting the Vivo T1 to replace this affordable lineup, new devices are consistently popping up to be in line for a launch. We earlier shared the exclusive official renders of the Vivo Y75 5G which is slated for January 26 India launch. On the other hand, the company seems to have silently added yet another Vivo Y series handset to the Indian shelves. The latest model is the Vivo Y21A which has debuted with an entry-level Helio P22 processor and an HD+ display.

Vivo Y21A Key Features And Specs

Vivo has packed the Y21A with a 6.5-inch IPS LCD panel which features a waterdrop notch. The budget phone’s display supports 720 x 1600 pixels HD+ resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, and a screen-to-body ratio of 89 percent.

The Vivo Y21A has been launched in India with the Helio P22 octa-core chipset. The device comes with 4GB RAM combined with 64GB storage. The handset also features 1GB virtual RAM support. Also, it has a dedicated microSD card or external microSD card.

For imaging, Vivo has made use of a dual-lens setup at the rear. The camera module houses a 13MP primary lens along with a 2MP macro sensor. The selfie snapper used by the Y21A is an 8MP sensor that is packed inside the dewdrop notch upfront.

The Vivo Y21A comes loaded with Android 11 OS which is further topped by FunTouch OS 11 interface. The device offers standard 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and 3.5mm headphone jack connectivity options. It has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for security aspects. To keep the lights on, the handset employs a big 5,000 mAh battery. The budget phone also features 18W fast charging support.

The Vivo Y21A India prices aren’t revealed just yet. The device is currently listed on the company’s official website along with the features and the color options.
