Design
We must admit that Vivo has succeeded in making the T1x sleek and beautiful. The Vivo T1x is a notable stunner, especially given its budget price. There are two color choices available: Gravity Black and Space Blue. Our unit comes in the Gravity Black variant. The flat back and side frames make it comfortable to hold. The device’s lightweight design makes it easier to carry for extended hours of gaming and video binge-watching.
The phone’s top-left cover features a square-shaped camera bump that houses the rear camera module with the Vivo logo below it. The back is still prone to fingerprint smudges that are quite visible on the phone. Regarding the edges, we can state that the manufacturer did a decent job with the flat edges.
In terms of ergonomics, the handset’s right chassis sports volume rockers and a power button integrated with a fingerprint scanner. We had no trouble using the privacy sensors because they are easy to reach with your thumb. On top of the device, you get the SIM Tray holder. At the bottom, the handset features a USB Type-C port, a speaker grille, and a headphone jack.
It’s nice to know that Vivo has decided to keep the headphone jack since a lot of people still prefer to use wired earphones/headphones. Overall, we loved the design and our perception of Vivo phones is certainly chaining.
Display
The Vivo T1X has a 6.58-inch LCD display with a Full HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate which are mostly reserved for more expensive devices. The display with a rich screen-to-ratio of 90.6 percent is bright and crisp with accurate colors fitting for long hours of movie playback or graphically-intensive gaming.
The display has a warm screen temperature at default. However, there is an option for color profile adjustment found in the settings. You have to manually adjust the screen temperature according to your need. Overall, we have more praise than complaints for the display.
Performance
Under the hood, the Vivo T1x is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset clubbed with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. For smooth graphic rendering, the chipset is backed by the Adreno 610 GPU. For the usual smartphone tasks like calling, messaging, social media updates, web browsing, etc., its performance is quite smooth.
For game lovers, T1x is packed with Ultra Game Mode and Multi Turbo 5.0 features. We have also played a few games on the phone and we have no complaints about lags or slowdown. It handles any game titles without stuttering. However, you might struggle a bit while playing more resource-hungry or intense graphic games. The company has incorporated a 4-layer cooling system for better heat dissipation to ensure long hours of uninterrupted gameplay.
The smartphone runs on its very own interface the Android 11-based FaceTouch OS 12. It comes with pre-installed apps like Byju’s, Facebook, Flipkart, Moj, PhonePe, ShareChat, Spotify, plus a lot more. Additionally, you get several common Google apps and proprietary Vivo apps. Minus the pre-installed third-party apps, the UI would have been cleaner.
Camera
The rear dual camera setup of the T1x is composed of a 50MP main camera and a 2MP lens. You receive an 8MP selfie camera for selfies and video calls. After taking a few pictures, we can say that the quality is on par with other smartphones in its price range.
Super HDR, multi-layer portrait, slow motion, panorama, live photo, super night mode, and more features are available in the camera app. It is decent enough for social media posting.
The images taken on the 50MP camera outdoors gave us pleasing results. The good thing is that it was able to pick up more light into the sensor providing photos with good details and decent contrast.
Using the portrait mode, you can choose some preset color style or enhance your facial features using the beauty filter. Selfies are also sharp with good details and get a decent color production. For low-light images, you can use the dedicated Night mode from the camera app.
Battery
A massive 5,000mAh battery with VEG Technology (a power-saving engine) is included with the Vivo T1X. This keeps it from becoming damaged after a complete charge or even from overcharging.
With moderate use, the battery can easily last a day on a full charge. The on-screen time may decrease when playing games but it’s still a good output. There is support for fast charging at 18W which is less than what the competition currently offers.

Verdict: Should You Buy Vivo T1X?
The Vivo T1x is priced at Rs. 14,999 for the 6GB/128GB variant. The device will be sold in all partner retail stores as well as via Flipkart and the Vivo India e-store.
Overall, the Vivo T1x delivers everything you’d expect from a smartphone based on its specs and price. It looks stylish and has a clear screen. The phone lacks a versatile camera but does a decent job with general photography. Additionally, the turbo mode exists to guarantee that games run without lag. Since Vivo has a lot to offer in its segment which is why we wholeheartedly recommend this device.
