Indian market has seen an influx of foldable phones, with popular models like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5, Oppo Find N2 Flip, and OnePlus Open making a splash. Now, tech enthusiasts have another reason to celebrate as Vivo gears up to enter the foldable phone arena. Vivo recently teased the launch of its first foldable phone in India, the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro, which comes packed with AI capabilities. The official launch date has now been confirmed for June 6. Official Announcement and Teasers
The launch date was announced through Vivo India’s official X handle. The post described the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro as India’s best foldable phone yet, highlighting its slim, lightweight, and powerful design. A small teaser video accompanied the post, which also displayed the launch date.
Expected Specifications
The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro was first unveiled in March 2023 and is now set to make its debut outside China. The Indian version is expected to have similar specs to the global model. Several leaks and rumors have given us a glimpse of what to expect.
- Display: The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro boasts dual displays: a 6.53-inch cover display and an 8.03-inch inner AMOLED LTPO folding display. Both screens offer a resolution of 2480 x 2200 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. They support Dolby Vision and HDR10+ with peak brightness reaching 4,500 nits, ensuring a vibrant and smooth visual experience.
- Processor: The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, paired with an Adreno GPU for enhanced graphics. It is expected to come with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of UFS4.0 storage. The device will likely run on OriginOS 4, based on Android 14.
- Camera: It is rumored to include a 50MP ultra-sensing primary camera with OIS, a 64MP 3x telephoto lens, and a 50MP ultra-wide lens. For selfies and video calls, a 32MP front camera is expected.
One of the standout features of the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro is its innovative Carbon Fibre Keel component in the hinge mechanism. This technology keeps the device lightweight yet durable. Testing by TÅ“V Rheinland has shown the device can endure up to 500,000 folds, which translates to about 12 years of reliable use. Additionally, the phone is anticipated to feature a 5,700mAh battery.

Price and Availability
The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro will be available for purchase through Flipkart, Vivo India’s online store, and offline retail channels. Priced at 9,999 yuan in China (approx. Rs 1.17 lakh), it is expected to be priced under Rs. 1.5 lakh in India.
