Vivo Y10, Y10 (t1 Version) Makes A Silent Debut; New Entry-Level Smartphones?

Vivo has been most proactive with the Vivo Y series products across the globe. The company has launched multiple new devices in this affordable lineup and is gearing up for a few others as well. The brand has now silently added two new Vivo Y series smartphones in the Chinese markets. The Vivo Y10 and the Y10 (t1 version) are the latest offerings by the Chinese tech giant. Both devices feature a similar set of hardware and design.

Vivo Y10, Vivo Y10 (t1 version) Full Specifications

The features offered by the Vivo Y10 and the Vivo Y10 (t1 version) pack exact same set of features except for the chipset. We’ll be speaking of the similarities in the first. The Vivo Y10 and the Vivo Y10 (t1 version) are packed with a 6.51-inch display. The panel used by both smartphones is an IPS LCD which supports 720 x 1600 pixels HD+ resolution, 89 percent screen-to-body ratio, and has an aspect ratio of 20:9. The display further supports a 60Hz refresh rate and offers a waterdrop notch that’ll house a selfie camera.

The Vivo Y10 and the Vivo Y10 (t1 version) use the same camera hardware as well. Both new budget smartphones are packed with a dual-camera setup where the primary sensor is a 13MP lens. The main camera is paired up with a 2MP sensor for macro shots. The dewdrop notch is packed with an 8MP sensor for selfies and video calling.

The battery capacity and firmware are also identical in both models. The Vivo Y10 and the Y10 (t1 version) run on Android 11 OS accompanied by Origin OS interface. The security aspect is handled by a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. For connectivity, both devices are packed with dual SIM support, 4G, dual-band WiFi, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Both these Vivo Y10 series phones are driven by a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 10W charging.

‘All of the above-mentioned features are the same on both Vivo Y10 and the Vivo Y10 (t1 Edition). However, the standard Y10 uses a MediaTek Helio P70 processor, while the Y10 (t1 Edition) runs on the octa-core Helio P35 processor. Both budget Vivo units come with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration. The support for a dedicated microSD card is also present on both devices.

The Vivo Y10 and the V10 (t1 version) have been announced in China at 1,099 CNY which is somewhere around Rs. 12,000 as per Indian currency. But the actual prices might be slightly different for the Indian market. The device has been announced in Moonlit Night and Glacier Blue colors. As of now, both units will be available in China. Vivo is yet to announce the launch timeline for the global regions including India.
