There have been rumors circulating that Vivo might discontinue the ‘Y’ series post the introduction of ‘T’ smartphone lineup with the launch of T1 5G. However, a new report contradicts all these past rumors by suggesting the upcoming Vivo Y15s launch in India, The affordable Vivo handset was announced last year in the international market and is making a run for the Indian market soon. Details are as follows:

Vivo Y15s India Launch Imminent

A new report via Mysmartprice suggests the Vivo Y15s is heading to the Indian market soon. The publication suggests the company is planning to add this affordable handset to the shelves silently. The launch is likely to take place this week. However, the exact date hasn’t been specified by the report.

The company has also not shared any insight into the same therefore it would be hard to guess when exactly the Vivo Y15s will go official in India. Additionally, the report also hints at the expected pricing of the Vivo Y15s in India.

The device is said to carry a price tag of around Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 12,000 in the country. The price range could vary depending on the RAM and storage variants. The handset is likely to launch with the same set of internals and color options in India. The latter could be Wave Green and Mystic Blue shades.

Speaking of the specifications, the Vivo Y15s is an entry-level Android phone that runs on MediaTek Helio P35 processor combined with 3GB RAM and 32GB/64GB storage configuration. The handset employs a 6.51-inch HD+ display with a standard 720p HD+ screen resolution and 20:9 aspect ratio.

The handset will ship with a dual-camera setup in India. The imaging setup will offer a 13MP main camera which will be aided by a 2MP depth sensor. The handset will also feature an 8MP selfie camera. The device will ship with Android 11 OS out-of-the-box which will be topped with a custom FunTouch OS interface. The Vivo Y15s has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for security and a 5,000 mAh battery to keep the processor ticking. It has a standard 10W charging support.
