Volvo has been active in the EV industry in India with the XC40 Recharge and the C40 Recharge. Volvo EX30, EX90 India Launch: Know The Timeline
The Volvo EX30 and EX90 electric SUV’s launch in the Indian market has been confirmed by Jyoti Malhotra, Volvo India’s Managing Director on Tuesday. As of now, only the upcoming arrival has been tipped by the company and the timeline is yet to be confirmed. Nevertheless, rumor mill hints both these Volvo EVs will be made available by 2025 in India.
Also, both Volvo EX30 and the EX90 electric SUVs will be imported via CKD (Completely Knocked Down) route. Now, this is different than the CBU (Completely built-up) import which is the general approach for luxury cars. In this, all the parts of the vehicle are imported and then the unit is assembled. This saves the brands from paying hefty import duties and achieve price parity.

The Volvo EX30 is the brand’s smallest electric car which comes with dual battery pack options. This compact EV houses a single electric motor which delivers 272 hp of peal power. The base model of the EX30 gets a 51 kWh battery pack with which it can reach up to 344 km on a single charge.
The Volvo X30 also comes with twin-motor pack which can produce 428 bhp of peak power. This model is backed by a 69kWh battery unit with which it offers up to 480 km range per charge. The Volvo EX30 reaches to up to 180 kmph of top speed and takes 3.4 seconds to accelerate from 0-100 kmph.

Volvo EX90 Powertrain And Features
The Volvo EX90 is a high-end model compared to the EX30 which comes with dual motor and battery pack options. The EX90 base variant delivers 780 hp of peak power and 770 Nm of torque, while the high-end model offers 517 hp of power and 910 Nm of torque. This electric SUV has up to 180 kmph top speed.
