Volvo, the Swedish luxury car maker has revived its ultra-premium electric SUV with a new label. The XC40 Recharge has been re-badged as the EX40 Recharge in multiple global markets including India. Is it the moniker only that gets a rebadging or the EX40 Recharge also gets some other upgrades? Let’s find out:

Volvo EX40 Recharge: New Moniker Or Powertrain Upgrades As Well?
Volco EX40 Recharge essentially gets only the re-branding. There is no overhaul given to its design and it retains the same bold SUV stance as the XC40 Recharge. Its underpinnings remains the same where the Rear wheel drive axle mounted electric motor churns out up 238 bhp of peak power output. It produces a peak torque of 420 Nm and can sprint from 0-100 kmph within 7.3 seconds.
The Volvo EX40 Recharge continues to use the 69 kWh battery pack that allows a range production of up to 592 km on a full charge. The battery pack of this e-SUV rakes around 7 hours of charging time (from 0-100 percent). This charging speeds is with the 11kW standard AC charger. With the fast DC charging, the EX40 Recharge’s battery will take around 34 minutes for a full charge.
The feature-sheet is same as well with the EX 40 Recharge offering the same 9-inch touch screen infotainment system compatible with Android Auto and Apple Car Play, a 12-inch digital driver display, Harmon Kardon audio system, and adaptive power steering. For safety, the EX40 Recharge offers multiple advanced features such as lane keep assist, rear collision warning, adaptive cruise control, etc.

Volvo EX40 Recharge: Updated India Prices
The Volvo Ex40 Recharge is introduced with a slightly higher price tag compared to the XC40 Recharge. This e-SUV will be available for purchase at Rs. 56.10 lakh (ex showroom) in India.
