It’s officially the end of week 22 of 2024 and the EV market has seen some major developments. But this week has been all about test mule leaks. From Hyundai to Maruti, we got a glimpse of multiple e-SUV test mules. Here are the top headlines that made from the EV industry in India:

Hyundai Creta EV Test Mule Multiple Snapshots Captures

We all are aware that Hyundai is working on the all-electric version of its most popular mid-size SUV, i.e., Creta. The test mule of the Creta EV has been snapped twice this week where one of the production ready prototype was seen doing test runs, while the second test mule was snapped while docked at a charging station in Pune.

Both new test mule leaks of the Creta EV showcased an ICE-variant like design but a slightly re-worked grille and alloy wheel design. The Creta EV gets blanked-off grilled design, drag-resistant alloy wheel design, and a 360-degree camera surveillance.

VinFast VF3 Compact Electric SUV Powertrain Revealed Officially

VinFast is set to launch its smallest electric car called the VF3 in India. The micro e-SUV has been patented in the country and will likely be the first EV in the country from the Vietnamese auto manufacturer. The VinFast VF3 will be equipped with a RWD (Rear wheel drive) motor pack producing 43.5 bhp of peak power and 110Nm of peak torque.

This upcoming electric car from VinFast will feature an 18.64 kWh battery pack with which it will produce up to 210 km range per charge. This compact e-SUV is said to measure 3,190 mm (length) x 1,679 mm (width) x 1,622 mm (height) and will have a wheelbase of 2,075 mm.

Maruti Suzuki eVX Spy Video Surfaces Online

Maruti Suziki eVX’s spy video has been leaked this week while being tested near Maruti plant in Gurugram. The eVX first real life spy video shows the prototype equipped with an LED headlamp setup. Its overall profile appears broader which hints at a roomier cabin. The spy video of the eVX also revealed ORVM with integrated cameras and rear C-pillar mounted door handles.

Multiple Mahindra Electric SUVs Snapped Side-By-Side

Mahindra’s electric fleet got snapped once again this week. However, all three upcoming e-SUVs including the XUV.e9, XUV.e8, and the BE.05 test mules were captured together during charging at a mall in Udaipur, Rajasthan. With all the upcoming e-SUVs getting testing simultaneously, we can safely assume that the launch will be as per the timeframe hinted by Mahindra and other industrial sources. The leaked snapshots majorly revealed the design cues which are similar to the past test mules spotted out in the wild.

Low Budget Zelio GRACY E-Scooters Launched

Once again, the budget E2W market witnessed a new e-scooter lineup launch. Zelio introduced 2024 GRACY e-scooter series with three different models. Each variant gets separate trim which is based on the battery options. The latest lineup comprises the GRACYi, GRACY+, and GRACY Pro models. The GRACYi and the GRACY+ models have five different trims with Lead Acid and Li-ion battery module. Whereas, the GRACY Pro model only has dual trims including one Lead Acid and one Li-Ion. Price range of the Zelio GRACY 2024 e-scooter range starts at Rs. 59,263 going up to Rs. 80,073.
