Also, WhatsApp has been terminating services and updates for older version of mobile OS (Android, iOS) and has now announced the fresh list of devices for which it will be ending support starting next month. WhatsApp Ending Support For More Android Smartphones Next Month

WhatsApp has been ending support for older Android, iOS mobile versions in a bid to offer all the modern features that are compatible with newer mobile OS. Towards the end of 202, WhatsApp removed support for multiple older Samsung Galaxy series Android phones including the Galaxy Ace 2, Galaxy Core, Galaxy S2, and others.

Now, the brand is removing support for multiple Android phones that are currently running on an older version and can’t be updated to the latest OS. That said, WhatsApp is ending support officially for the Android v4.1 which was also known as Ice Cream Sandwich. WhatsApp itself has confirmed this information via its blogspot.

Starting October 24, 2023, all the Android smartphones that are running on the Android OS v4.1 will not be able to run WhatsApp. As per the brand, all these older units will not receive the security updates hence the functionality will be hampered.
