Xiaomi is once again revamping its popular Redmi smartphone lineup in India. This latest offering by the company would be the Redmi 10A which will be catering to the budget audience in the Indian market. The Redmi 10A would be the third model in the Redmi 10 series which already has been announced in the country comprising the standard Redmi 10 and the Redmi 10 Prime. Xiaomi Redmi 10A India Launch Is Confirmed For Next Week
Xiaomi has confirmed the Redmi 10A’s India launch on April 20, 2022. The date announced by Xiaomi corroborates with the past leaks. The pricing details have not been confirmed just yet. However, the company is expected to announce the Redmi 10A as yet another budget Android phone with a starting price tag under Rs. 10,000. Do note that this is just speculation and the actual pricing of the handset may vary post the official launch.
What About The Redmi 10A India Specifications and Features?
Xiaomi has launched the Redmi 10A recently in China and is expected to bring it to the Indian market with the same specifications. This budget Redmi 10 series phone will be launched in India with the Helio G35 processor. This entry-level octa-core MediaTek processor gets IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU. It was announced with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration in China. We can expect the same Redmi 10A variants in the Indian market.
It is worth adding that this budget Redmi phone also comes with expandable storage support (via microSD card). It will boot on Android 12 OS which will be layered with MIUI 12.5 interface. The Redmi 10S is expected to debut with a 6.53-inch LCD panel in India. The screen resolution and refresh rate would be standard, i.e, 720 x 1600 pixels and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The Redmi 10A will feature a single 13MP rear camera and a 5MP selfie camera.
The budget Redmi 10A will offer standard privacy measures such as Face Unlock, PIN, and Password protection. It will be powered by a 5,000 mAh battery that will be supported by regular 10W charging speeds. Xiaomi’s upcoming Budget Redmi 10 series phone has a basic set of hardware that will be well suited for daily tasks. Xiaomi would need to get the pricing of the Redmi 10A correct in the Indian market to increase the sales numbers.
