Following the discontinuation of the Mi lineup, Xiaomi has now started focusing on its current smartphone lineup with the same “Xiaomi” moniker. The company had recently introduced the Xiaomi 11i series in India. Two models namely the Xiaomi 11i 5G and the Xiaomi 11i 5G HyperCharge debuted in the country with the Dimensity 920 octa-core 5G processor and up to 120W fast charging support. Now, the company has officially confirmed another Xiaomi 11 series model launch in India. The next model in offing is the Xiaomi HyperPhone which is just a few days away from the official launch in India.
Xiaomi HyperPhone India Launch Date Officially Announced
The Xiaomi HyperPhone aka the 11T Pro was first announced by the company during the Xiaomi 11i series launch in India last week. However, the Chinese tech giant didn’t reveal the exact launch date as well as features of this handset back then. The company took to its official Twitter handle to announce the upcoming Xiaomi 11T Pro January 19 launch in the Indian market. The teaser poster only shows the handset’s image and confirms the moniker along with the launch date.
Besides the launch date, other details such as the availability (both online and offline), features, and pricing are yet to be teased. Only the display features have been currently updated at the dedicated microsite created by the company on its official website.
The Xiaomi 11T Pro’s dedicated webpage also has the “Notify Me” tab live. You can click on it to stay informed with the latest updates on this new Xiaomi premium 5G phone. Nevertheless, the Xiaomi HyperPhone or the Xiaomi 11T Pro was earlier announced in China (last year). We will possibly see the exact set of features like the Chinese variant in India.
Speaking of which the Xiaomi 11T Pro aka Xiaomi HyperPhone’s biggest highlight would be the 120W fast charging support. This is the same as for the Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge that broke covers this month in India. Apart from this, the Xiaomi 11T Pro will be using the Snapdragon 888 Plus processor under the hood.
It will be launched with an Android 11 OS-based MIUI 12.5 interface and a 6.6-inch AMOLED display with 1080p FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The Xiaomi 11T Pro’s camera setup will feature a 108MP main lens at the rear along with an 8MP ultrawide sensor and a 5MP macro lens. It will also offer a 16MP selfie camera and a 5,000 mAh battery with 120W fast charging.
