The Motorola Moto G30 will give you a very good performance at the given price range. You can edit pictures, browse, play games with heavy graphics smoothly without any hindrance. It has a Qualcomm SM6115 Snapdragon 662 (11 nm) processor with an Octa-core (4x2.0 GHz Kryo 260 Gold and 4x1.8 GHz Kryo Silver) CPU and an Adreno 610 GPU. It has a Primary Clock Speed of 2 GHz and a Secondary Clock Speed of 1.8 GHz. A feature that makes this phone different from other groups of smartphones is its moderately high refresh rate 90Hz. Higher the refresh rate, smoother the experience while playing games, watching videos and scrolling. It has a RAM of 4GB which is pretty much available in all smartphones of this price range. It has a pretty high internal memory of 64GB which can be expanded up to 1TB via a micro SD card. The internal memory capacity is pretty impressive and you can store all your photos, videos and documents without having to worry about memory shortage.

It runs on an Android 11 Operating System. This OS has few good propriety features on top and is not bloat-ridden. It supports 4G VoLTE, 4G LTE, WCDMA and GSM network types and 4G, 3G, Wi-Fi, EDGE and GPRS internet connectivities. So connecting to other people will not be a problem at all. It has pre-installed Google Chrome which makes surfing easier. It is enabled with Bluetooth Version v5.0, Wi-Fi Version 802.11a/b/g/n/ac (2.4 GHz I 5 GHz), Wi-Fi Hotspot, EDGE and NFC. The Moto G30 has an ultra-wide 6.51-inch screen with 1600x720 Pixels HD+ resolution which allows you to watch your favourite movies and videos with full clarity on a widescreen. The 90Hz refresh rate is a standout feature in this phone. However, you will not be able to watch YouTube videos above 1080p resolution. This phone also has a 20:09 Display Aspect Ratio and an active area touch panel which is pretty much the same as other G series smartphones.

This smartphone has a battery capacity of 5000 mAh which at today’s date is pretty much present in every smartphone of this price range. The battery backup can last up to 7 hours or more. The battery capacity of Moto G10 Power is 6000 mAh which comes at a lower price. Even smartphones of other companies like the Samsung Galaxy M12 has 6000 mAh battery at the exact same price. So the battery backup could have been better.

It also has a 20W fast charging feature with a USB Type-C port which claims to fully charge the phone within 1 and a half hours.

The Motorola moto G30 has a better rare camera than all the other phones of the G series. It has a 64MP + 8MP + 2MP + 2MP quad camera. The 64 MP primary camera has an f/1.7 aperture, 26 mm focal length, 1.97” sensor size and 0.7-micrometre pixel size. It can capture brighter pictures with higher clarity from any angle. The 8MP camera has an f/2.2 aperture, 118-degree FOV and 1.12-micrometre pixel size. The 118-degree FOV can click pictures with an ultra-wide-angle frame. The 2MP macro camera has an f/2.4 aperture and 1.75-micrometre pixel size. The macro lens can zoom 4 times closer to capture every detail of the scene. The 2MP depth sensor having an f/2.4 aperture can make your photos look like portraits captured by a professional and give a soft bokeh effect. During the daytime, the camera output is very good and the AI feature can detect the scenery and apply the HDR effect or Bokeh effect whenever necessary. The Night mode is however not so effective. The resulting photos are excessively bright and it takes 6 seconds to take a click.

The 13MP front camera with an f/2.2 aperture and 1.12-micrometre pixel size is exactly matched with the front cameras of smartphones like the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10, Realme C25, Xiaomi Poco M2, etc. The selfies taken with this camera in the daytime is very good. The portrait mode also does a decent job. However, photos taken at night are not so good.

The G30 has a fresh design which is different from the other phones of the G series. Although the colour variants are pretty good, the design is pretty chunky. It has a compact and narrow body that is easy to grip. It is however heavy weighing 200g. It has dimensions of 165.2 x 75.5 x 9.1 mm. There is no Gorilla glass which makes the front prone to scratches and breakage. It also has an IP52 water-repellant design. The phone has a glass front and a plastic back. It has a dual SIM card and a micro SD card slot on the upper left corner and the volume up/down and power button on the upper right corner. The USB Type-C port, audio jack and loudspeaker are present at the bottom.
