The company shifted the rear camera’s positioning from the centre to the left corner of the phone. Along with camera repositioning, the company also took the liberty of changing the side buttons to the opposite sides of the margin. The OnePlus 8T has a fluid AMOLED display with 1080x2040 pixel resolution, the best of its kind. It comes with a dual sim slot and supports a USB-C type cable connection.

It comes with a Gorilla Glass back and not with metal when compared to others. It comes with Android 11- OxygenOS that offers new bold specifications and adjustments like Google’s stock dialer, Zen mode wellness feature, etc. The OnePlus 8T’s competitor is the OnePlus 8 Pro.

The OnePlus 8T (188 g) is a little heavier when compared to OnePlus 8 Pro (180 g). It comes in two different colours, Aquamarine Green (a combination of green and blue) and Lunar Silver. The 8T is HDR10+ certified and has JNDC colour accuracy that makes the resolution and clarity of the pictures brighter and more detailed. The refresh rate of the OnePlus 8T screen is 120Hz that beats the rest of the phones. The 8T doesn't support wireless charging, which is a disappointment, but overall, the device’s design and display are outmatched.

The OnePlus 8T camera settings and specifications are excellent as compared to the predecessor. The 8T captures high-quality, bright, and ultra-clear images. The colour reproduction and zoom functionality are accurate in the 8T and exceed the user's expectations. The 8T's ultra-wide-angle gives a wider picture with the same accuracy and image colour reproduction. However, the company should work on portrait and nightscape mode. The camera automatically changes the skin colour’s texture and makes it look smoother than natural, which doesn't look attractive.

The OnePlus 8T has Qualcomm SM8250 Snapdragon 865 processor with Adreno 650 GPU. It delivers smooth performance and manages to run without any lags when switched in between multiple applications. The 8T comes in two variants, 8GB RAM with 128 GB internal storage and 12 GB RAM with 256 GB internal storage. It doesn’t provide any memory card slot because the storage space itself is sufficient for an average or above-average user.

One can play heavy games like Call of Duty, PUBG, and Asphalt 9 on high graphics without a lag. The phone doesn’t efficiently heat up if kept on serious gaming mode for more than 4 hours. OnePlus 8T can be considered a banger in terms of performance and doesn't show any signs of lag even after continuous app switching.

The 8T is a perfect companion for every superuser that wishes to utilise their phones at their peak power. It lets you do that with the day-long fuel for video games, video streaming, and photography. The OnePlus 8T battery life can last up to 18 hours of non-stop activity or video-streaming. For less active users, the battery life can last up to a day or two.

The fingerprint ID is very accurate and takes up very little to authenticate the identity, and unlocks quickly without a lag.
