The Samsung Galaxy M04 offers a 6.5-inch PLS LCD screen which features a standard resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. The LCD panel further has a 90Hz refresh rate for fluid touch response. The panel comes with an 81.8% screen-to-body ratio and a pixel density of 270 PPI. Moreover, it is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass. The Samsung Galaxy M04 has a length of 164.2mm, and a height of 75.9mm. This phone offers a water-repellent design and is 9.1mm in thickness and weighs just 188g.

The Samsung Galaxy M04 is powered by the MediaTek MT6765 Helio P35 chipset and runs on Android 12-based One UI Core 4.1 which is based on Android 12 operating system. It is equipped with a powerful octa-core processor and offers 2.35 GHz clock speed. It is available in two variants  - 64GB internal storage and 4GB RAM  or 128GB internal storage and 4G RAM and has a microSDXC card slot for up to 1TB additional space.The Samsung Galaxy M04 offers WLAN, Bluetooth, GPS, and NFC connectivity features. The Galaxy M04 also supports two nano-SIM cards. The smartphone has Accelerometer, Fingerprint Sensor, Gyro Sensor, Geomagnetic Sensor, Hall Sensor, Light Sensor, and Virtual Proximity Sensing.

The Samsung Galaxy M04 features dual cameras at the rear that includes a 13 MP f/2.2 (wide) main camera, a 2 MP(f/2.4) depth secondary camera. The front camera is a 5MP lens with an f/2.2 aperture for selfies and video calling.
