Tecno Spark 8

The Tecno Spark 8 has a very powerful chipset for a budget phone. The Tecno Spark 8 runs on the octa core MediaTek Helio A25. The octa core processor allows for a lot of parallel processing but at the same time, its top speed is not as high as conventional octa core chipsets. The MediaTek Helio A25 has a top speed of 1.8 GHz. The core is made up of four 1.8 GHz ARM Cortex A53 and four 1.5 GHz ARM Cortex A53. Now Tecno Spark 8 is a budget phone therefore, to keep the price in check while providing an octa core CPU, the Tecno Spark 8 comes with only 2 GB of RAM. The low amount of RAM means that a little lagging is evident given that the octa core CPU speed cannot be completely leveraged by just 2 GB of RAM. The GPU details on the Tecno Spark 8 are handled by IMG PowerVR GE8320.

On the rear the Tecno Spark 8 has a dual camera setup to handle the photography you want to do with it. The main snapper is a 16 MP lens that has AI enhancement features. The AI used on the 16 MP lens allows it to produce better details without overdoing the photo and making it look artificial. The high pixel lens is accompanied by a 2 MP macro sensor. The dual camera setup boasts of quad flashlights to click better photos even in the dark. The aperture of the dual camera setup is F 1.8m. At the front the Tecno Spark 8 comes with a waterdrop notch display that houses the 8 MP front lens.The visual angle of the front lens is 80.6 degrees and one good feature is that it has dual flashlights on the side for a flash effect even in selfies.

The Tecno Spark 8 also performs good in the display section but there are a few hiccups. The display is a 6.52 inch IPS LCD screen that is perfected to fit into the design seamlessly. The 6.52 inch screen is a Dot Notch screen that promises to offer cinematic visuals every time you turn on a movie or a series. The screen has very good resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels but also creates a hiccup with its very low pixel count. The Tecno Spark 8 display has a pixel density of only 270 pixels per inch. There are competitors in the same segment that are offering higher pixels rate upwards of 400 pixels per inch. A standout feature of the display used on the Tecno Spark 8 is that the display is peek proof. No need to add on an extra privacy screen guard with the 6.52 inch inbuilt screen becoming peek proof from 45 degrees. That feature is a shocker that Tecno Spark 8 has played well in the park.

The battery pack on the Tecno Spark 8 is the best thing about it. The Tecno Spark 8 comes with a humongous 5000 mAh battery that ensures that at no point of time is the Tecno Spark 8 going to be out of touch with you. The Tecno Spark 8 is fine tuned also to consume less power and offers up to 13 hours while gaming, though hardcore gaming is not fluent in a 2 GB RAM phone. The 5000 mAh battery pack is good enough to last the entire day without sending you back to the charger.

The design of the Tecno Spark 8 is a bit gaudy but does not hurt the eye. The rear is a glossy finish with perfect 2 D curves and the front is an impressive water drop notch display. The rear has fingerprint sensor and is grouped with the camera housing, having a raised platform with a darker shade. One bitter sweet feature of the Tecno Spark 8 is that it comes with the brand name and the slogan engraved on the rear panel in very large characters. The Tecno Spark 8 also boasts of twin speaker with Dolby Audio capabilities.
