The Xiaomi Redmi 5A features a massive screen with a 12.7cm HD display, which ensures an immersive visual experience. It operates on a resolution of 1280 x 720 resolution and has a pixel density of 296 PPI, and a contrast ratio of 1000:1. It is also equipped with a special reading mode, which prevents eye fatigue. The Xiaomi Redmi 5A has a compact and portable design, which has a height of 140.4 mm and a width of 70.1mm. It is easy to carry with a thickness of just 8.35 mm and weighs about 137 g. The smartphone is available in three different colors to choose from, which include Rose Gold, Dark Grey, and Light Blue. 

The Xiaomi Redmi 5A operates on the decent Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor which comes with a 64-bit quad-core processor. Its graphics performance is regulated by Adreno 308 500MHz. The Redmi 5A is available in two variants, the first one offers 2GB RAM along with 16GB ROM, and the second one offers 3GB RAM and features 32GB of ROM. Having a dedicated microSD card slot allows an expandable memory of up to 128GB. It operates on MIUI 9. In terms of connectivity, the smartphone offers support for Bluetooth 4.1, Bluetooth HID Wi-Fi, and Wi-Fi Direct. In terms of its navigational support, the handset offers support for GPS, GLONASS, and BeiDou. Being equipped with the latest sensors, it offers support for Infrared, Accelerometer, Proximity sensor, and ambient light sensor. 

The Xiaomi Redmi 5A offers a 13MP (f\2.2) rear camera which is equipped with the feature of fast focusing via PDAF and a single LED flash as well. Its photographic features include low light enhancement, HDR, panorama, burst mode, and face recognition. Apart from that, it also offers other real-time filters to spice up your pictures. Apart from that, it is also equipped with a 5MP (f\2.0) front camera which comes with the features such as a selfie countdown. The Redmi 5A also has the feature of recording professional like 1080p and 720p videos at 30fps. 

The Xiaomi Redmi 5A has a decent battery of 3000mAh, which is non-removable. It is accompanied by a 5V/1A charger, which changes the handset within just 120 minutes. Once fully charged, its battery can last up to a day and has an astonishing standby of eight days.
