The Redmi Note 11S is, without a doubt, a mid-range phone, especially based on the spec sheet. That's not to say the device is a total snoozer; it does have a few redeeming qualities. When you consider the phone's price, things look even better. The large 5,000 mAh battery is also quite good, even outperforming some of Xiaomi's more expensive models. The 33W fast-charging capability isn't the fastest, but it gets the job done without raising the risk of a house fire. With 20% remaining, we were able to charge the battery to 100% in 41 minutes, and it only took 58 minutes to charge from zero to full, which is similar to what Xiaomi claims. Unfortunately, the Redmi Note 11S falls short in terms of raw performance. The MediaTek Helio G96 isn't the fastest, especially considering it's aimed at the mid-range market. The hardware is adequate for most tasks, but games may stutter unless set to low or medium graphics settings — ironic for a chipset marketed for mobile gaming. It also lacks 5G support, which may be a deal-breaker for some.

The number of obviously cheap elements on display is a good indicator of a cheap phone's design. On this front, the Redmi Note 11 maintains its strong performance. From the convincingly metal-effect frame to the soft-touch plastic back, all of the materials are matte. The latter attracts fingerprints, but it feels good in the hand. Because phone designs seem to change every year, it has become more difficult to distinguish phone brands at first glance. While this allows manufacturers to stay current with trends and fads, it does not assist these companies in developing a strong visual brand, as Apple's iPhones do. Redmi is no exception, having changed its formula less than a year after the previous iteration.

When Redmi talks about the "trendy flat-edge body" that its Note 11 series uses, some customers will immediately draw comparisons to the design of the iPhone 13. That's both justified and unfair, because, while it does use a flat-edge design, the Redmi Note 11S retains some curves on the back, unlike the completely flat iPhone 13. The back and edges are both made of polycarbonate (plastic) that has been coated to look like glass and aluminium, respectively. Your hands, on the other hand, will be able to tell the difference, especially given how light the phone is overall. Plastic has the advantage of not breaking when dropped, so it may be a good choice for those whose phones are frequently dropped.

Cameras have become an essential component of smartphones, and most users aren't satisfied with something that can't take good photos or record usable videos. The distinction between high-end and mid-range cameras is becoming even hazier, as megapixel counts do not always equate to high-quality content. Fortunately, the Redmi Note 11S does an adequate job, though its performance isn't particularly noteworthy.

Xiaomi's quad-camera system marketing is a little deceptive because only two of those cameras are actually useful. Mobile shutterbugs will undoubtedly be disappointed by the lack of a dedicated telephoto lens.

This Redmi device has a 6.6-inch display with a 1080x2400-pixels resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass v3 protection. The estimated dimensions of the phone are 163.5 x 75.7 x 8.7. It will be offered in various colors, such as Twilight Blue, Midnight Black, and Star Blue.

The phone has a 64GB internal storage capacity, 4GB RAM, and a MediaTek Dimensity 810 CPU. The storage capacity can be expanded to 1000GB using a microSD card.

The image quality is excellent, thanks to a 50-megapixel rear camera and a 13MP front camera. The rear camera has autofocus and a flash, whereas the front camera has a screen flash. Back camera features include HDR, portrait mode, and panorama. The back camera can also shoot videos in full HD @30fps FHD. The phone appears to take high-quality images and take clear selfies.

The battery backup is believed to be enough, as the 5000mAh will last 18-20 hours but not a day. Charging through the USB Type-C port is supported by the charger point. In addition, the phone has quick charging, which charges your phone in less than an hour.
