The Kindle is an awesome e-reader for sure. The tablet comes with a 6.00-inch display with a resolution of 1280x800 pixels at a pixel density of 252 pixels per inch (ppi). Amazon Fire HD 6 is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor. Apart from buying books available from the Kindle Store, you can also read DRM-free books that you have purchased from other sources online. These can be downloaded through various online portals and be transferred to your device. I have a lot of PDFs of books that I have bought or downloaded online through different sources and websites which I have transferred to my Kindle to read easily. Furthermore, to improve your reading experience especially for non-Kindle Store books, there are some features that can help. You can choose from a small number of fonts like Bookerly, Amazon Ember, Baskerville etc. that are really good. My favourite is Bookerly and I use that for all my books. You can also select the layout and adjust margins, orientation, alignment and spacing in that area. There are several themes as well to choose from plus you can also adjust the font size and even the weight (making text bolder), which is a really nice touch.
