Fossil Sport Smartwatch

Qualcomm's newest wearable chipset, the Snapdragon Wear 3100, is installed in the Fossil Sport. As a result, apps feel lovely and responsive, and battery life is often fantastic—we'll discuss this further—which is great. The 512MB of RAM has some responsibility for this. And the Fossil Sport does so with flying colors. The watch's strap is made of lightweight silicone and won't absorb perspiration, while the entire body is made of aluminum. An adjustable button is located above and below the dial on the side of the Fossil Sport. The top button launches Fossil's own software by default, while the bottom button launches Google Fit.The Fossil software enables you to save many setups, or "looks," for the home screen, but it's so complicated that we doubt many people will use it. We changed the button's functionality to start a stopwatch instead.

The always-on display was turned on and left on. And even with this feature turned on, we still had 30% battery life when we went from breakfast to bed. Although this reviewer can't go to sleep with a watch on, turning off the always-on display option would significantly increase battery life. And for this reason, the two-day battery life promise made by Fossil seems plausible. Additionally, the Fossil Sport charges really quickly. It was entirely dead when we took it out of the box, which was unpleasant in and of itself, but after 20 to 30 minutes on the charger, it was functional. Never, unless you choose to, should you have to go longer than a few minutes without wearing the watch.
