The Poco C31 is all about its processor under the hood. Powered by an octa-core Mediatek Helio G35, the Poco C31 is built for fast processing and a lot of parallel processing. With a top-class clock speed of 2.3 GHz, the G35 is one of the fastest processors in the market and one that has been tried and tested. The MediaTek Helio G35 has eight cores that allow you to do a lot of parallel processing. The pairing with the super-fast Mediatek Helio G35 SoC is a maximum of 4 GB of RAM. The RAM varies on the option you choose for the internal storage. There are two options available, the first is 32 GB internal with 3 GB of RAM and the second is 64 GB internal with 4 GB of RAM. The options for RAM is a bit less considering that in this price range, the maximum amount of RAM available is 6 GB of RAM. As for the graphics duty the, PowerVR GE8320 GPU is mated with the SoC.

The Poco C31 sports a huge 6.53-inch display that is an IPS LCD display. It is a good move to go with an LCD screen to keep the cost in check but not compromise too much on quality as well. The Poco C31 has very good contrast and colour levels that allow comfortable viewing of content. The screen on the Poco C31 has a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels which is a very good deal considering its price range. There are a few competitors with better resolution but on an IPS LCD screen, 720p and higher resolution do not look that different. The only disappointing aspect of the display is the low pixel density. The Poco C31 has a pixel density of just 269 pixels per inch. This means that the picture quality takes a hit when the ambient lighting is too much and also makes the phone a pain to use in outdoor conditions. The screen has thin bezels, with a screen density of 81.0% and an aspect ratio of 20:9.

The Poco C31 uses a 12 nm architecture SoC. This means that the Poco C31 requires a lot of juice to support all its multitasking and powerful processing speed. The makers at Poco C31 made sure that this would not create a problem and gave the Poco C31 a humongous 5000 mAh battery. The huge battery is capable enough to take care of all casual usage and even a few hours of intense gaming with ease. The makers also went a step ahead and made sure that the Poco C31 does not fall in the trap of battery issues. The Poco C31 claims to provide the same battery life as new even after two years of usage. Probably one thing that supports this claim is that the Poco C31 comes with 10W charging and a 380 V surge protection, ensuring that your battery does not go out of order before time.

The camera on the Poco C31 is a bit underwhelming. Paired with two sensors, the triple camera setup with the main snapper being a 13 MP lens performs decently well for its pixel strength. The 13 MP lens captures exceptionally good pictures during the daytime and in the appropriate lighting is bliss to use. You might have to change a few holding directions of your phone to get the perfect click but what photographer does not do that. The 13 MP lens is accompanied by two sensors, a 2 MP macro lens and a 2 MP depth sensor. The night photography is also above average given the computational algorithms used are of decent quality. The absence of the ultrawide sensor causes the edges of the images to distort a bit. A few competitors in the same segment as the Poco C31 are offering a better MP count and that is certainly one area where the Poco C31 needs improvement.

The makers at Poco have put a lot into the design of the Poco C31. They have marketed the C31 as a phone built to last and truly it is. Built on an aluminium frame, the Poco C31 has the dimensions of 164.9 x 77.1 x 9 mm along with reinforced corners. The Poco C31 also sports rubberized seals to ensure that accidental drops do not cause much damage. On the exterior, the Poco C31 has a dual shade finish with a matte bottom and glossy top. The triple camera setup comes in a housing with the flash along with a rear fingerprint sensor. The front has thin bezels and a waterdrop notch that houses the front camera.
