Before we get to the features, a quick understanding of what ADAS stands for. This system involves a group of safety and convenience functions that aim to enhance convenience as well as road safety. The system can alert the driver, implementing possible safeguards & even automating driving controls. While world over Level 5 denotes the global future dream of completely driverless cars, Level-1 acts as a driver
assistant and the vehicle is dependent on the driver to monitor the driving environment and conditions.

For the 2022 MG Gloster, Level 1 includes

  • Lane Change Assist or LCA
  • Rear Cross Traffic Alert or RCTA
  • Door Open Warning or DOW
  • Blind Spot Detection or BSD
  • Adaptive Cruise Control or ACC
  • Automatic Parking Assist or APA

  • Automatic Emergency Braking or AEB

Do note that Level 1 ADAS is only available on the top spec Savvy versions and not the lower ones. This costs Rs 38.4 to Rs 40.7 lakh for the 4×2 AT and 4×4 AT respectively, prices being ex-showroom Delhi. Do note that MG also sells the Astor mid-size SUV that comes with an even advanced Level 2 ADAS in India.
